"It's My Way or the Highway" ~ God

That's not necessarily how God speaks, but the sentiment is surely true. I mean, He is at times bold like a mighty clap of thunder. However, He always gives us the option to accept things as He has designed them for us or suffer the consequences of doing it our own way. Yes, that is essentially "my way or the highway" with the outcome down the road a bit. I have had the old hymn, "Have Thine Own Way, Lord", in my head all day. Then, when I read the YouVersion verse of the day, it's Psalms 37:5 which reads, "Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." Okay, Lord, I hear you...
There are things in my life that are happening whether I'm on board or not. My being on board, can help them be better than I could ever think or imagine. Get on board or get left. I looked on the local television news stations websites today. I wasn't so much looking for a job as much as looking to see what God might be delivering me from. I still struggle with the idea of not being on tv; not going into people's homes at a certain time each day and letting them know the goings on; I struggle with being enough without my local celebrity status; and of not having my day defined or structured. It takes a lot of hard work and focus to work for yourself, by yourself each day. I'm trying to figure out how to get my brand out there. I need business cards and rack cards and post cards. I'm on card overload with so many options. But, because I believe I am doing the business of God in this season, I keep plowing forward. God is ruler and Lord of my life! I may not live like it everyday (that's a blog for another time), but I acknowledge Him. I'm doing it His way.
